Program: Mums the Word!ourannual fund raiser. All proceeds are dedicated to town landscaping projects.
Time:  8:00 to 12:30 a.m Thurs. for unloading the trucks and delivering to the town merchants Thursday through Sunday for selling. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Sun. 1 to 4 if needed)

Program: “Dahlias.” Fred is a 5th generation Dahlia grower and will share his wisdom with a lecture. He may bring live dahlias and members are invited to bring their own specimens and ask questions of the “Dahlia Lama.”.

Program: “What is the Master Gardeners program?” Angela will give a presentation about the rigorous Master Gardener certification program offered by Rutgers Extension Service and Middlesex County, held at the EARTH Center in Davidson’s Mill Pond Park in North Brunswick. The center features best practices vegetable gardens and a butterfly house, herb vegetable and rain gardens, created and maintained by master gardeners.

October 19

Program: NY Botanical Garden.  Artworks by world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly will be showcased with more than 20 installations and includes drawings and early works that reveal the evolution and development of Chihuly’s artistic process during his celebrated career. The Garden’s dramatic vistas become living canvases for work created specifically for NYBG, showcasing Chihuly’s signature organic shapes in brilliant colors.

Program: “The Great Oak/Tree care and pruning” Rob will relate how his crew took down the most beloved tree in our community and why it had to happen. He will also give tips on tree care and pruning.

“The Garden State in Bloom” Walter retraces the path taken in creating his award-winning book, THE GARDEN STATE In Bloom, and revisits the beautiful public gardens of New Jersey. This program showcases Walter's 25 favorite public gardens with colorful photography and historical information about each garden.

Program: “Homemade skin and body care” Joanne and her BFF, founded Celtic Chairde Creations twenty years ago. They make skin and body care products from their own gardens and from local sources as well as jams and jellies with NJ wines and fruits.

April 17 Program: “Helen Fenske and the Great Swamp National
Wildlife Refuge” George will talk about the incredible Helen
Fenske of Green Village, and her successful campaign to prevent an international airport from being built in our area; her work to establish the Great Swamp Wildlife
Refuge; and her work to get its permanent protected status by getting it declared a Wilderness area.

May 15 Program: Arboreal Forest Walk: a guided tour of Mettler’s Woods, the primeval, mixed oak forest, which is one of the last uncut stands of this sort of forest in the United States. This old growth forest is the only uncut upland forest in New Jersey. It is part of the Hutcheson Memorial Forest Center. Carpool to 2150 Amwell Road, Franklin Township. Hiking shoes or sneakers required! Tour led by Dr. Steven N. Handel, Distinguished Professor, Department of Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resources, Rutgers.
